Native Texan
I carry a deep appreciation for the incredible variety this state has to offer. Texas is a place of vast contrasts—rolling Hill Country landscapes, wide-open plains, dense pine forests, desert mountains, and a coastline that stretches for hundreds of miles. Alongside its diverse geography, Texas is also rich in natural resources and cultural traditions, from ranching and farming to the energy industry, from small-town festivals to the fast pace of urban life. Each of these elements has shaped the way I see the world and continues to influence my values and outlook.
The Journey
Growing up in Texas gave me a strong foundation, and living in other regions of the United States and abroad broadened my perspective. Those experiences helped me appreciate both what makes Texas unique and the shared threads that connect people everywhere. One of the most defining moments of my life also ties back to Texas: marrying my college sweetheart in the historic Hill Country town of Fredericksburg. That day reminds me of the deep roots and lasting relationships that anchor my life, even as I continue to explore new horizons.
